A VOICE FOR SARAH PALIN

by Rosemary Storaska

NOTE:  I come from a solid DEMOCRATIC family rooted in Pennsylvania Party politics.  Most of the family now following me.  My aunt is a DEMOCRATIC leader working with Rendell and I am talking against her arguments willfully as she is wrong.  It's not easy to do what is right, but principle is far more important to me than anything right now.  I will be in PA next weekend due to the Fredericksburg Rally talking in the streets for the Palin/McCain ticket.

One, the pick of Sarah Palin only points out that there is another breed of Feminist-a REAL DEAL MIDDLE CLASS person- who will be the star of 2012, NOT Hillary.  Hillary knows this a well as I do.  Hillary had choices to make and she made them in line with the same Democratic Party that she, herself, accuses of both fraud & stealing both in the caucus and working with ACORN to distort and manipulate the elections and primaries. When Sarah had a choice she took the right road.  Hillary played politics and would have gained far more if she stood with her own personal values (without giving up her DEM principles that are far different than O's).  This is something many of us are seriously taking a second look at for any future run with Hillary Clinton.  There is a loss of respect there when someone feels they must let principles go for party.  I NEVER thought Hillary had to do it and will be far less respecting of her if she votes privately for Obama.  Our forefathers put their principles over their political background and country and without that courage we would not exist.

Two, Hillary never excited people to the extent I have seen with Sarah Palin.  It is her commonness and common sense approach that has sparked The Joe the Plummer revival. Yes, I agree Obama will take this election with a small margin and not by his own efforts BUT because many in the South will vote color versus candidate and the South will not rise to the extent it did previously.  I still have hopes there that African Americans, who represent many of my best friends, as color nor race is of interest to me, rise within themselves to vote their principles based upon the social movement Obama is creating in this country and the measure of what capitalism and democracy meant when our forefathers forged the Constitution.  While I saw Obama walking back and forth outside his grannies home on the news yesterday I could not help think that perhaps he is again putting the "end" game ahead of the "means" to what he feels has been chosen to do.  The means do not justify any end along with road Obama has chosen but this guy truly believes in a higher good and that is more scary to me than who he is and what previous choices he has made.

Third, The DEM'S have it wrong on the economy today.  I have put 200,000 into my head with education and one of several degrees is a study of our economic history and international economics.  The DEM approach is wrong given this economy and I would have argued that way with Hillary to her face if she were in contention against McCain on the current economy.  The DEM'S controlled the Congress who had the ability to stop what they full well knew was happening.  Another beef I have with this DEM party Hillary is so loyal toward?

Fourth, I remain a Democrat for now but have found the Republican party people who helping me perusing my DEM principles within their ranks with open arms.  Can't say that for my DEM party who are intimidating & anger balls both here in Virginia and locally.  I beginning to see what side cares more about the middle class vs. power.

Finally, cause I am participating in Team Sarah with 1 million telephone calls sponsored by the Susan B. Anthony List, even though I am pro choice, I am staying within NOW only due to the fact the fact there will be a change in CEO soon and I will be a highly rebellious voice within that organization at the next convention over their narrow view.  I am wearing my TEAM SARAH pink shirt proudly both for Sarah and for real feminists--all women regardless of their position either pro choice or pro life.  Hillary had an opportunity to move American but she failed to do so.  Monday, I will be with Sarah in Fredericksburg and have come to realize the difference between acting on what one says and keeping consistent with it in action.  I respect Hillary, but frankly do not know if I would ever give her the 2 year effort I did these past two years.  I am seeing other women coming over to Sarah after just seeing her as Sarah.  I have been around Hillary numerous times and never felt like I could sit down and have a bear downtown with her.  You can with Sarah as she is no politician and has inspired me to seek our something I thought I would not do--run for a Virginia political office on a plain, common-sense, non-political manner.

WE ARE THE PEOPLE and the outdated intellectual, good old boy establishment is being drown out by Sarah Palin who is a committed wife, working mother tolerant of my pro choice views.  In other words she is objective.  WE THE PEOPLE are responsible for Obama not extending his birth certificate and other relationships as yet because we did not stand out ourselves to scream the loud cry during Hillary's run and neither did Hillary.  I take responsibility working in her office and NOT doing what I knew should have been down 1 year ago.  WE THE PEOPLE will bring back non-Parisian leadership so that both parties respond to us.  Sarah Palin is the start of it all and anyone thinking she is a stupid choice should keep their head under the pillow.  The media savagely attacks her because they do not know how to handle her otherwise.  If she were not an effective force they would leave her alone.  It's as simple as that.

NO OBAMA and I will be demonstrating on the day of his Inauguration and will soon be pursuing a national campaign to accomplish this task, hopefully through Just Say No Deal resources and PUMA.  His winning does not dissolve the TRUTH!

THE POWER OF THE VOTE

by Skeptial Woman

This morning, Morning Edition carried a story from North Carolina Public Radio on Michelle Obama speaking in Greensboro (9/18).  She said, "Voting is the first real access to power we have in this country."  If that were true, Hillary Clinton would be the Presidential nominee of the Democratic Party.

Any power we voters have to elect our own nominee has been overturned by the processes and machinations of the Democratic Party on many different levels.  The results of undemocratic and easily manipulated caucuses were privileged over inclusive primaries, where people actually vote.  Delegates were allotted to each candidate not according to how many votes s/he received, but by some formula that included past gubernatorial election results, so that votes in some districts counted more than others.  State conventions added unpledged delegates who were not elected by voters.

The Democratic Party's system of unpledged "superdelegates," delegates by virtue of their status as party leaders or elected officials, clearly contravenes the idea of "one person one vote," and many of these PLEOs appear to have endorsed based on contributions to their campaigns from the presidential candidates.  The Rules and Bylaws Committee ignored the actual vote in Michigan and awarded delegates to a candidate for whom not a single vote was cast, including 4 delegates earned by another candidate.  The RBC and the Credentials Committee manipulated the voting process by disallowing, then allowing the participation of delegates of Michigan and Florida at times that favored the candidate who actually received fewer votes.

Pledged delegates to the Democratic National Convention were there to represent the voters of their districts, but they were bullied to "get in line" behind a candidate their voters did not support.  Some delegates had no chance to cast their votes on behalf of their districts. The Chair of the National Convention, Nancy Pelosi, did not permit any "nay" votes when a motion to nominate one candidate by acclamation was on the floor.

Hillary Clinton received more votes in the presidential primaries than any other candidate, but those votes have been nullified by our own party.  The terrible irony here is that Hillary Clinton, along with the recently departed Stephanie Tubbs-Jones, was on the forefront of legislation to "count every vote" after the debacles of 2000 and 2004.  But in this primary season, her supporters have been the victims of some of the same intimidation and unfair practices she has fought against.

So, Ms. Obama, with all due respect, please don't tell us about the power of our votes.

I DREAM OF STALIN

From Joan Lipkin:

While Eve Ensler says she is having nightmares about Governor Sarah Palin, I am having nightmares about Senator Joe McCarthy and dictator Joseph Stalin.

I am stunned by the lack of information offered in the mainstream press so that Americans can make free and informed choices.

There has been little if any discussion of the caucus fraud perpetuated by the Obama campaign in which many caucuses were swamped, often illegally, thus driving the results. According to Lynette Long’s helpful website, as well as the documentaries “The Audacity of Democracy” and “We Will Not Be Silenced”, there were some 2,000 violations in Texas alone.

In a free society with a responsible press, wouldn’t there be some substantial discussion of this? Maybe reporters would be in agreement, maybe not. But wouldn’t there be something?

There has been little if any substantial discussion of what it means to a democratic society when voters in Michigan and Florida are stripped of their representation and all of Hillary Clinton’s delegates as well as the undecideds are arbitrarily assigned to Obama.

In a free society with a responsible press, wouldn’t there be some substantial discussion of this? Maybe reporters would be in agreement, maybe not. But wouldn’t there be something?

There has been little if any substantial discussion of what it means to a democratic society when Hillary Clinton, the person who received more votes than anyone in the history of a democratic primary is denied nomination on the first ballot at the Democratic National Convention in Denver and there is no open and honest roll call. Or what it means when Clinton delegates like Sasha Millstone are threatened, Gloria Allred is censored and Delmarie Cobb is race baited at the convention. Instead, we were given a fully orchestrated floor show with no real questions asked.

In a free society with a responsible press, wouldn’t there be some substantial discussion of this? Maybe reporters would be in agreement, maybe not. But wouldn’t there be something? Especially at a convention in which there were 15,000 media from around the world.

There has been little, if any substantial discussion of what it means to a democratic society when the Democratic nominee, Barack Obama, refuses to debate his opponent John MccCain in town halls, from the time of becoming the presumptive nominee until the convention in August, thus shutting down opportunities for voters to see more real life comparisons between the two candidates.

There has been little, if any substantial discussion over the lack of tolerance in this election And if the media won’t do it, maybe it needs to be organized by a cross section of the American public including educators, faith based and religious leaders, psychologists, sociologists, political theorists, community organizers, feminist scholars, civic dialogue facilitators and more.

There has been plenty of discussion of all of this on the blogs. But although blogs often have the most accurate and up to date information and certainly the most diligent reporting, that is not where most Americans get their information.
So it is incumbent upon those who believe in a democratic society to share the information they have. And when they do, however, they are often shunned or threatened or race baited. As a result, people are increasingly afraid to speak the truth of what is going on, for fear of reprisal.

What do you call a society where people are not allowed to hear or speak the truth? Where there can be severe economic, professional, social and psychological consequences for telling the truth?

I call it fascist.

Is this what Obama means when he talks about change and hope? An authoritarian society in which free speech does not exist and difference of opinion--- the hallmark of democracy--- is not tolerated.

I believe in hope, too. And in this case, I hope not.

Rest well, Eve Ensler. For all you have done for women over the years, you have my deep gratitude and respect. But we must agree to respectfully disagree on this one. Sarah Palin is not the problem. The ghosts of Joe McCarthy and Joseph Stalin are. But make no mistake; I have my sleepless eye on both parties. Ever vigilance is the price of democracy.

THE DOG AND PONY SHOW

Guest post by Olivia Taylor-Young

Despite the Dog and Pony Show that was called the Democratic National Convention, the party is NOT unified. It is also playing a dangerous game of blind man's bluff.

Joe Biden, for example, helped pass laws addressing violence against women in his state of Delaware.  As Vice Chair of the Board for my local SafeHouse Alliance, I cannot help but wonder how
Biden can be so astute on this issue, yet not see the parallels right in front of his eyes.

Our non-profit organization serves the survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We are very familiar with the workings of dysfunctonal families whose mottoes are:  Keep your mouth shut. Don't make the family look bad.  If you tell the truth, any consequences will all be your fault. And above all, pretend everything is fine ...because, that way, the problem will go way and/or at least no one will ever know about it.

Sound familiar? It should. It's just variations on a very familiar theme. One after another, despite all evidence to the contrary, the Democratic Party's leaders proclaimed to the world that the party is unified. Perhaps DNC is really an acronym for Dysfunctional Nondemocratic Collaborators.

Their insistance that the party is unified is also reminicent of another domestic violence/sexual assault parallel, All too often, the victims crying out to be heard are dismissed with such warnings as: if you've been (or are being) beaten, molested and are otherwise suffering from abuse, remember, you have choices. (1.) get over it (2.) stop whining (3.) be a good sport and take one for the team and (4.) always remember, appearances are far more important than you, your feelings, your well being and/or your life.

Again...sound familiar?  On the day McCain announced his choice for VP, I was at a get-together for a friend who is leaving the area. Governor Palin was (naturally) a hot topic of discussion. In a private conversation between a prominent local democrat and myself, we agreed the party is being unwise to dismiss the power and numbers of its disafffected voters and that, until we all learn what Governor Palin's political beliefs really are, the choice was a public relations coup...because the message sent to disaffected Democratic women had the potential to be received as: "'Your party told you to get lost and here we are with open arms."

Overhearing this a women angrilly horned saying Hillary supporters are crazy and should just "get over it."

Hardly a way to win over hearts and minds..and votes.  But back to Joe Biden. I know he is basically a good, decent man. So, too, is the woman who said "get over it." Whether accidental or deliberate, however, such blindness is a perfect example of the quote "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."  Sorry about the 'good men' thing... Edmund Burke's quote came long before women's liberation.   But in any event, coercing a consensus doesn't translate into true consensus.  It perpetuates the lie!

Hillary (and Bill) did the only thing she (they) could in order to not create a red herring and/or be rendered ineffective by being blamed blamed for what's to come.  But her message was clear.  Don't stop. And in her honor, we won't.  I know she also said "It's not about me" and she was right.  It is not about Hillary. It is about Democracy.  Without elections that are fair and free from intimidation, there is none!  So again, in Hillary's honor, we won't stop.  Eventually there will be no place for the perpetrators to hide.

Once the Caucus Fraud issue hits the legal system there will be no more covering up.  If the Democrats
won't face it, the Republicans will unmask it...and the media has no loyalty.  Obama has been their darling, but a good juicy story trumps their ill conceived concepts of love and loyalty every time.  Remember, Nixon was re-elected by a huge majority when Watergate was just a dribble. But the story wouldn't go away because the story was true... and he was out of office within a year and a half.

Meanwhile...keep the faith. And when the media or anyone else disparages you as a sore loser or call us
whatever invectives they can think of, remember, every person who has ever challenged threats to freedom and/or organized corruption has been called ugly names as well. We're in good company.

One more note.... to anyone who whats to protest the comparisons to reactions toward domestic violence and sexual assault, I can only tell you I expressed the basis for this article to a mass mailing group I am part of. The private responses I got were astounding...people I've never met confiding their personal stories with hearfelt gratitude and sadness.  Like many, one woman told of having been raped when she was in her teens and how she suffered because her cries for help were dismissed with "Get over it." It took her many years to find a counselor who could assure her there was no need to forgive anyone who shows no remorse for how their bad (or criminal) bad acts affected your life. Like victims of rape, she wrote me,"We need to forgive ourselves for not being able to fight the DNC to stop this -- but we don't need to consent to stay abused, either."

AMEN

Modern Day June Cleaver

                                                  Modern Day June Cleaver

                                                      Olivia Taylor-Young

Michelle Obama is an accomplished, professional woman. Her life experience stretches far beyond home and family. She has reaped educational and occupational benefits made possible by the struggles of women in previous generations. Yet, on opening night of the Democratic convention, I watched this brilliant, articulate Harvard Law graduate present herself to the world as a modern day June Cleaver. The only thing missing was her string of pearls.

Yes, it’s wonderful for a woman to love her husband and to be a good mommy. And I’m delighted daddy drove carefully with their newborn daughter in the car, although such an act hardly qualifies him to be leader of the free world. More important, however, is that at a time when the first serious woman presidential candidate was subjected to unrestrained misogyny, the women who now hopes to be our next First Lady is coyly presenting a façade of traditionalism.

Perhaps the DNC hoped it will play well in Peoria. They haven’t been too keen on judgment lately. But, in truth, it’s a chilling message. Designed to turn back the hands of time and assure the public that the feminist threat has been turned back as well, it cautions women: ‘be as educated and accomplished as you want. But know your place.’

In response, I’m asking what place? And who determines it? I’m also stating, on the 88th anniversary of Women Suffrage, that Hillary’s candidacy did not prove a woman can be elected President. On the contrary, it proved that a woman cannot. The media assault, the Democratic party’s willingness to stand mutely by. The Obama camp’s happily benefiting from the assault. Michelle’s convention speech… all prove that until misogyny is eradicated in this country, women will be relegated to supporting roles and the presidency will remain the province of men.

One step toward eradicating misogyny is redefining the word feminism. Many words ending in ISM connote discrimination: Racism. Anti-semitism. Ageism. But, once and for all, the word feminism means exactly the opposite. The synonym for equality-for-more-than-half-the-world’s population, is a positive affirmation. Like the word liberal, however, its concept and definition has been hijacked.

Ever since America’s first Convention for Women’s Rights was held in Seneca Falls, New York in 1848, feminists have been caricatured as shrill, angry man-haters. And proving how much we’ve learned from history and how far we have come: today, that definition is applied with equal enthusiasm to Hillary Clinton and her advocates. I don’t know how they explain the men who supported her candidacy…but I guess that’s not important right now.

Also today, while hidden within allegedly innocuous phrases such as "The lady in the pants suit", the concept of feminism remains dismissed as unfeminine. It’s also, in many quarters, still viewed as an hysterical notion.

The word hysterical is derived from the Greek Hysterikos …meaning suffering in the womb. That speaks for itself. Granted, the anger charge is not without merit. In fact, when one takes an honest look how women have been historically restricted at every level, then constructive anger becomes a reasonable and intelligent response. But feminism is not rooted in anger…It is rooted in access. Access to equal opportunity. To equal pay for equal work. To the right to have a voice in the process which governs you. To the right to equal treatment under the law. To the right to have your candidacy determined not by your gender, but by your agenda.

Feminism is also not rooted in getting even. It is about evening the playing field. Most important of all, feminism is not now, nor has it ever been, about hate. It is now, and has always been, about hope.

The History of Women in America is a narrative of the long, uphill battle to change laws and conventional attitudes and practices. It’s the story of how difficult it was—and is-- to advance a movement subjected to societal resistance, ridicule, and outright condemnation. It is the biography of brilliant, tireless, dedicated, eloquent women --- millions whose names we will never know --- but who wore out their live across generations to ensure that their daughters and granddaughters and their daughters and granddaughters had the right to vote, equal opportunity in the workplace and equal opportunity in the election process. Etc.

It would be too long a list if I tried to name every incredible woman, every pivotal event in historical status of women. But I am absolutely confident that in years to come, any successful encapsulation the 19th, 20th and 21st century feminist movements and how they changed our culture forever will include the name of Hillary Clinton.

Michelle Obama, I invite you to get on board.

REVERSE APARTHEID!

by Cynde Greene

I want my grain-of-sand vote to show this New York Democrat voting for a Repubican for the first time in my life. The corruption of the DNC and the Obama campaign has changed my life. I will fight for the rest of my life if that is what it takes to reform the media, the DNC and reveal the truth about Obama, although I believe the latter might happen starting in September after the RNC convention in Minneapolis. I believe (perhaps hope?) that the GOP is saving its big guns for the general election. I am impatient to see Obama lose and I "hope" he loses big so we can think  "I told ya so."

I also deeply resent the fact that All kinds of women constitute the majority in this country but are more poorly represented in the government than anyone, that women are the true slaves and that out of a population of 302 million, there are about 185 million women of all kinds while there are about 18 million black men in this country. What kind of equal representation democracy is this--reverse apartheid against women?

THE MOST IMPORTANT WORK IS NOW

We have all watched  democracy get hijacked by the  DNC leadership and the Obama campaign to try to ensure his nomination and election at all costs.

This has meant  the suppression of information, voter fraud, sexism lobbied at Hillary Clinton, race baiting, bribing of super delegates through Nancy Pelosi's pac, threatening of delegates and of course, the  incredible stripping of votes from Michigan and Florida and reassigning delegates for Hillary and undecideds to Barack Obama.

Hardly a representation of democracy or a fair election.

But there have been some victories along the way.  After weeks of work on behalf of many people, we have managed to get Hillary on the ballot in nomination.  It is, of course, outrageous that it was ever an issue for her to be placed on the ballot since she never conceded. She only suspended her campaign.

But now, in a sense the most important work begins.  Sacha Millstone,  a delegate who supports Hillary, expressed her concerns about Obama in a private email to another delegate who reported her to the head of the Colorado Democratic Party . She was ordered her to come to headquarters to justify her position. With her freedom of speech threatened, Millstone hired a lawyer to help  navigate through this Big Brother intimidation.

There is a lot of this going on and it is frightening. I commend Sacha's courage in exposing these tactics and  for standing up for what is right.

What is important now is that we work towards a true nomination process at the convention. Not a symbolic one.

Here is where all of us come in.  It is crucial that we contact the delegates we know to be Hillary supporters and encourage them to stay the course.  We must thank them for their dedication and  remind them that  they represent the interests of millions of people who believe that Hillary is the best candidate.

The super delegates also need to hear from us.  They need to be reminded again that their job is to vote for the strongest candidate to represent the Democratic party and to lead our party to victory against John McCain.

As Obama's inadequacies become more apparent by the day, the polls are reflecting the concerns of the American people.  With Bush's low ratings, if Obama really had the trust of the American people, this should be a slam dunk for him.  But it is not.  Because millions of people understand that he is not prepared for the presidency and that his campaign's thuggish tactics  are ripping the country apart.

Please contact the delegates and super delegates.  Thank them for their service to our country.  Let them know we support their efforts to do the right thing and  to vote for Hillary.  If they do not feel there is a ground swell of support, they may not feel safe to vote for her.

Most of us cannot go to Denver. But i hope we can all  find the time to do some of  this. It is crucial.

Yours for a democratic future.

TWO MINDS…SIMILAR THOUGHTS

By Olivia Taylor-Young

We have always been a two career couple…which translates into being a two-plus computer and a two-office-In-our-home couple as well. But this summer, at our individual keyboards, we’ve spent more time fighting more facets of the same battle than we ever could have imagined.

For example, on today’s editorial page was Dionne’s syndicated column from the Washington Post. In it, the writer wondered when the Democratic party’s leadership will finally be wrested from the Clintons and why "Obama is having difficulty ... seizing control of a party whose nomination he won fair and square." So I emailed him that he was operating under the fallacy of false premise. “Obama's campaign was anything but fair and square.” I wrote. “In fact, it successfully pulled off a bloodless coup.

“There is widespread evidence of caucus fraud.” I continued. “From across the nation, people have signed affidavits and provided video documentation detailing their experiences of intimidation, threats, slashed tires, unidentified 'voters' being bussing in to caucus events, moderators ( who -- by law -- must be impartial) wearing Obama buttons and throwing out Hillary ballots, no checking of identification…” etc. etc. etc.

I also noted that, as a lifelong Democrat, I initially did not want to believe how thoroughly my party’s primary process had been corrupted; but that kind of thinking now seems like it was in another life. Regarding caucus fraud, I continued, “The more I delved into research, the more data I gathered and the more people I corresponded and spoke with nationwide, I couldn't help but realize how profoundly their stories echoed one another’s. Sure, there were variations. But these had more to do with location and individual aspects, The over- all caucus experiences were far too similar to be the result of a few unscrupulous, overzealous Obama campaign workers. The caucus take-overs were a well planned, well orchestrated example of voter fraud. The video documentation, in case you question such authenticity, was provided by people who felt they were taking part in an exciting moment in history and wanted to record the event for posterity. They were at an historical juncture...but not the kind of history they expected.”

“If you want to categorize me as an typical disgruntled Hillary supporter,” I continued, “you are certainly entitled to your opinion. In response, I suggest you look up www.lynettelong.com. She has some startling documentation which verifies what I am writing you...and I don't believe after reading her credentials that you can pass her off as a sure loser or far out nutcase. Also in response, I'd like to add that, since the Rules Committee debacle, I've been in contact with many wonderful people across the country and can categorically state first hand that dismissing Hillary's supporters into a single focus category (usually angry, slightly delusional old time feminists with nothing else to do) is, in itself, delusional. I've been emailed by both men and woman, people as young as early twenties and all the way up to their nineties. Veterans from WWII, Iraq and everything in between. Young parents and their own parents and even their grandparents. College students and professors. The Democratic party has, so far, been unwise to the point of stupidity to dismiss the anger, passion and sheer voting power of people who feel the party has lost its moral compass as well as its moral authority to lecture anyone about election fraud.

ON THE CUTTING EDGE

ON THE CUTTING EDGE: New Non-Partisan Group To Promote Women's Agenda

A Movement Is Born: The New Agenda
New Non-Partisan Group Formed To Promote Women's Agenda

August 11, 2008 --On Monday, 30 women from around the country who are leaders of various women's organizations or have worked as community activists came together in Westchester, NY, to found a group called The New Agenda, a non-partisan organization to advance women’s issues.

"We will pool our talents and leverage already established 'friends of the family' organizations to launch a grass roots and grass tops effort to register women voters, organize a national 'get out the vote' effort around women’s issues," says Amy Siskind. "Our long-term goal is to cultivate and groom women to run for public office at all levels of government – including the presidency," adds Siskind, a former Wall Street executive who is active in Democratic politics and is a founding member of Together4US, which is supporting efforts to put Hillary Clinton's name on the ballot at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

"The first order of business for our group is to persuade candidates for the presidency, Senate and House to incorporate a number of women’s rights goals and policies into their platforms," says Siskind. These include:

  • Mandating paid maternity leave;
  • Ensuring that affordable healthcare is available to women and children;
  • Passing the Fair Pay Act in the Senate;
  • Helping women establish and run small businesses;
  • Reducing domestic violence;
  • Allocating 20 percent more party money to female candidates than to male candidates until the number of women elected to Congress is on par with their percentage of the population; and
  • Strengthening FCC regulations to penalize content that denigrates women.

AUDACITY OF A FRAUD

by Guest Blogger Soldier for Hillary
This historical election for Senator Obama, based on his words, can be traced all the way back to Selma, Alabama. A place Senator Obama states in his speech in 2007 he owes his very existence to.  His passionate speech before a congregation at Brown Chapel A.M. E. Church tells the story of how the protests in Selma played a part in him being able to stand there before them that day.
The riveting story on how JFK played a part in his father having the chance to be one of the young Africans who were bought to this country to give them scholarships to study so they can learn what a wonderful country this is, was poignant and beautiful as he described how the events and his very existence came about reflects in this passage of his speech:

"This young man named Barack Obama got one of those tickets and came over to this country.  He met this woman whose great-great-great-great grandfather had owned slaves.  But she had a good idea there was some craziness going on because they looked at each other and they decided that we know that in the world as it had been, it might not be possible for us to get together an have a child.

He goes even more in depth, filled with emotion as he describes the impact of this movement on who he is, and where he is today ....

"there was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge.  So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born.  So don't tell me I don't have a claim on Selma, Alabama.  Don't tell me I'm not coming home to Selma Alabama.  I'm here because somebody marched.  I'm here because you all sacrificed for me.  I stand on the shoulders of giants".

Moving..riveting and nothing but LIES.  The march in which he refers happened on 7 March 1965, when demonstrators attempted to cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma Alabama. It is mathmatically impossible for Obama senior and Ann Dunham to decide to marry based on the "march" in Selma and produce Senator Obama, if Senator Obama was born in AUGUST 1961 and the march in Selma happened in 1965.  How can he state JFK was responsible for the first airlift bringing Kenyans over when Kenyan nationalist leader, Tom MBoya was responsible between 1959 & 1960 on gaining financial support for this endeavor?  JFK was responsible for the SECOND airlift and had nothing to do with the first. Senator Obama's father was already in Hawaii studying. But there are those who had an impact and were part of that movement that Senator Obama carelessly used in a speech for political gain, destroying our history without KNOWING our history....
